Employee Spotlight: Shelby Canty - Customer Service Star and Piglet Queen!

Shelby’s first day at All the Fixin’s was the definition of “learning as you go.”  Our Swainsboro location was known for its piglets and danish, but the job of making these beauties was vacant.  None other than Shelby Canty was tasked with slinging flour, handling the rolling pin and handcrafting these baked delicacies everyone loved.  Had she ever done anything of the sort?  No.  Was that going to stop her?  Heck no!

Shelby’s ability to serve the customer with hands-down the best people skills was quickly put to use. Many times, she would pause her dough-making, dough-rolling tasks and run to the front of the shop, often bringing a cloud of flour dust with her!   She would wipe her hands on her apron to kindly take orders at the drive-through or front counter.  

Her warm, bubbly greetings are never mistaken to be inauthentic.  She truly loves people and loves to welcome them and take care of them by serving them her coffees, breakfast items and lunch choices.  Customers frequently request that she personally prepare their coffee! She remembers details about their lives, checks in on them, and even misses them when they’re absent for a few days. More often than not, you might catch her dashing out from behind the counter to deliver an impromptu bear hug.

She joined our Swainsboro team in the fall of 2022.  When Twin City opened for breakfast in January of 2024, she assumed the responsibility of Assistant Store Manager, bidding a bittersweet farewell to her Swainsboro customers as she embarked on a new venture at a location conveniently close to her home and her son Cutler’s school. At Twin City, Shelby still slings dough - making the piglets and danish for Twin City, but also leads lunch and trains new team members.  She’s an early bird, homebody, and stays busy as a single-mom to Cutler, who shares her quick wit and wisdom beyond his years! She loves taking photos, researching recipes and sharing hysterical social reels and memes.

Shelby is the kind of person you want in your corner, and we are thrilled to have her on our team! Her unwavering dedication and infectious energy inspire us every day, driving us all to be better.
