Before, After and In Between

The 'in between' for us lasted almost one year to the day.  We purchased our little farmhouse in the country on April 13, 2018 and we spent our first night in the new house on March 25, 2019!  We spent many days and nights separated as a family, with Brett pouring every ounce of energy into the new house while I just tried to contain that of the kids.  Let's just say, I'm glad to have help at bath time again.  And even more glad to have bath time in the new house!  Although, as you'll see later, I think the kids are confused about where the tub is.

It seems like it was ages ago that I posted our last blog about the floors.  Since then, we had one more day of contractors and then Brett had many hours of painting and final detail projects like baseboards, hanging doors and door knobs and lights.  Not to mention packing and moving and unpacking.  I owe y'all a few nerdy posts of those projects, but I got antsy and couldn't wait to share some highlights of the last year.  Of course it's not perfect and never will be... boxes left to unpack, pictures left to hang.  But most importantly, we're here and making it a home, so come on in and see us!
